How to Choose Photos for a Zombie Couple Video
By the Zombie AI Video Generator team · Updated / 4 min read
Start with sharp photos in which the people you want to feature are easy to identify. Then check how the generator uses them: one photo per scene, multiple character references, and a couple photo are different input arrangements. Better preparation makes the intended subject clearer, but it cannot guarantee identity consistency in generated video.
Can I use two selfies?
You can select two selfies in our photo picker if they meet the file requirements. The first slot defines the survivor and the second defines the zombie partner throughout the confrontation and memory shots.
If you use another generator, confirm how both identities will be supplied to each shot. Two upload slots alone do not establish persistent character roles in that tool.
Can I use a couple photo?
A couple photo can pass the file picker, but accepting a file is not proof that the generation model will preserve both faces. Several people in a frame can also make the intended subject less clear. Personalized couple-photo results have not yet been validated for this demo build.
For a scene centered on one person, begin with a clear individual portrait. For a scene that must contain both partners, first verify support for that arrangement. Avoid cropping one face out of a shared memory simply to meet an assumed requirement.
What does each photo slot control?
Survivor photo defines the character who faces their zombie partner. Zombie partner photo defines the character who becomes a zombie and appears healthy in the romantic flashbacks. Either role can use a person of any gender. The swap control exchanges these assignments.
In demo mode, choosing either photo only prepares a local preview of your inputs. The sample video stays the same and does not acquire your faces. The photos are uploaded only when an enabled custom-generation action is submitted.
Check the file requirements
| Check | Accepted input |
|---|---|
| File type | JPG, PNG, or WebP |
| File size | Up to 10 MB per image |
| Dimensions | Both width and height at least 300 pixels |
| Shape | Width-to-height ratio between 0.4 and 2.5 |
| Number of slots | Two character portraits submitted together |
If a photo fails the shape check, crop a copy without squeezing or stretching the face. If it is too small, choose the original camera file where available. Enlarging a tiny image changes its dimensions but does not restore missing facial detail.
A practical photo checklist
- Keep the face in focus and large enough to inspect.
- Use even lighting so both sides of the face remain visible.
- Avoid sunglasses, hands across the face, heavy filters, and motion blur.
- Leave some room around the head and shoulders for reframing.
- Remove screenshot borders, captions, and unrelated interface elements.
- Choose photos you have permission to use.
These are preparation guidelines, not results from a controlled comparison of generated clips. The current sample is not a before-and-after test of uploaded portraits.
What if the generated face looks different?
First inspect the source: can you clearly see the eyes, nose, mouth, and face shape? If not, use a clearer photo. Next inspect the workflow: does the shot require more people or persistent references than the tool supports? Better lighting alone will not fix a mismatch between your story and the reference controls.
Review each generated scene separately. A recognizable face in one frame does not establish consistency through motion, a transformation, or a cut to another scene. Check eyes, profile views, skin details, and whether the intended person is still recognizable at the transition.
Can I make this on my phone?
The page provides a browser-based photo picker, so you can prepare images from your phone. Check the action shown on the page to see whether personalized generation is active. Choose 16:9 or 9:16 in the output settings; opening the page on a phone does not select vertical output automatically.
